Louise Mathews

Louise is a graduate of the Gaiety School of Acting, The National Theatre School of Ireland.

Since graduating she worked mostly in Dublin and toured Ireland with Talisman Theatre Company as Pinocchio, in their Christmas production. Louise has worked with some great theatre companies and directors including Pan Pan; Liam Halligan and Mary Elizabeth Burke-Kennedy from Storytellers Theatre Company.

Film work includes the feature film IRA: King of Nothing, produced by LA based Latin Lion Productions and directed by Damian Chapa. Louise is delighted to have been part of B.M.C.’s student productions of Beckett Radio plays on film, getting to appear as Ada from Embers and She from Rough for Radio One was a huge thrill.

Since returning home to Belfast Louise has trained with the Prime Cuts Theatre Lab, Frantic Assembly and Bruiser Theatre Companies Graduate Academy.

Louise was better known as a singer songwriter in Belfast live band circuit before studying acting. She has released an EP with the band Slipgate and written and recorded vocals for Drum and Bass Dj’s/Producers, including, Calibre and DJ Sage (San Francisco).

In the Autumn Louise will be appearing in the BBC NI series In Cold Blood.
