Lyndsay Donly
Set Designer

Lyndsay studied at the University of Ulster, Belfast to gain her BA(hons) Fine and Applied Art and MA Irish Visual Culture, and cut her teeth in theatre while studying at St Mary-of-the-Woods College, Indiana. She has been working as an artist since 2005, exhibiting locally and internationally and undertaking private commissions. She also works as an Arts and Theatre facilitator and coordinator in both community and educational settings, and is currently specialising in Intergenerational Practice with the Beth Johnson Foundation. Tonight’s textile backdrop could not have been produced without the hard work of the dedicated team at ‘Knit Happens’ — a group that meets regularly in the John Hewitt Bar under the supervision of visual artist Julie Miller, who has the aim of challenging the boundaries between what is ‘hobby’ and what is ‘art’.
