Maggie Cronin

Maggie trained at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art. She starred in Doctors (BBC1 TV), playing the role of Kate McGuire for over 600 episodes. The show won a British Soap Award in May 2004. The show was also nominated for BAFTA and an RTS Award. Other television roles include Mrs. McGinley in the BAFTA winning production of United. She has appeared in episodes of The Bill (ITV), Holby City (BBC1), The Clinic (RTE), Scapegoat (BBC NI) and Maru (TG4).

Recent Theatre credits include Trestle at Pope Lick Creek (Prime Cut), Unless (SJT, Scarborough), 1974 — The End of The Year Show, Give Me Your Answer Do!, Shadowlands, The Crucible, Playboy of The Western World, Midsummer Night's Dream, Jane Eyre, After Easter, An Ideal Husband (Lyric Theatre, Belfast), She Stoops to Conquer, Playboy Of The Western World (Century Theatre), Dancing At Lughnasa (Phoenix Theatre, West End), A Most Notorious Woman, Dear Liar and Loot (Belfast Theatre Company).

She is about to take her show Greenstick Boy to Bewley’s Cafe Theatre Dublin as part of the ABSOLUT Fringe programme this September and is currently filming Terry George's short film The Shore.
